Director, Technology Strategy & Partnerships Duties: Reporting to the Vice President of Technology Strategy & Partnerships, entails securing, implementing and managing partnerships between company and its various strategic technology partners for entire Technology Operations organization. Entails putting in place processes and reporting functions that will help scale the team and provide key input and insights to the senior leadership of Technology organization. Working side by side with their legal counterparts, this individual will represent, craft and garner the best business terms for HBO and in many instances, for all Time Warner affiliates. As part of this role, will work closely with the legal, corporate services, and technology organizations to manage new and existing business deals, technology vendors, and providers. Span the entire contract lifecycle: from project inception, complex contract negotiation, risk identification and mitigation, pricing negotiations, through contract execution, project launch, and ongoing vendor compliance. Ensure alignment among the agreements negotiated and in place, operational policies and practices, and overall enterprise-wide business objectives. Oversee relationship managers that will have responsibility for managing our company’s complex relationships. Briefing senior management on a regular basis on the health and status of our relationship; and/or preparing talking points and briefing documents for our senior executives in instances of escalation. Help put in place processes and reports that help inform Technology organization as to the status and health of our highest priority deals and relationships. Run a weekly deal team meeting that will include the virtual deal team (including legal).
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: MBA and/or law degree recommended. 5-7 years deal negotiation experience. Excellent communication skills. Executive presence. Must work well in ambiguously defined circumstances.
