Compliance Director, Anti-Corruption and Financial Crime (FCPA, OFAC) Duties: Develop and implement compliance strategies, structure, and programs to support the global anti-corruption and trade sanctions programs, including policies and procedures. Oversee Regional Working Group processes and procedures, including assessing current approach and developing an ongoing monitoring. Develop procedures to enhance controls over client entertainment and third party payments. Improve processes to support consistent application of various anti-corruption policies policies globally. Assist, where required, with investigations into allegations of non-compliance with Aon’s anti-corruption and trade sanctions policies. Respond to compliance issues; develop and implement corrective action plans for resolution of issues and provide guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future. Coordinate with Human Resources and operating business management on disciplinary action for policy violations. Monitor the performance of anti-corruption and trade sanctions compliance programs and related activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate actions to improve its effectiveness. Prepare periodic reporting of violations or potential violations of laws and regulations to the Chief Compliance Officer for determination of appropriate action (e.g., reporting to authorized enforcement agencies).
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Law degree preferred; minimum requirement Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or general business management. 5 - 7 years of experience in a compliance or law department. People management experience. Familiarity and experience with global anti-corruption and international trade compliance. Cross-cultural competence with ability to work locally and globally. Ability to develop trusted advisor relationships with the business. Ability to exercise the highest ethical standards and prudent, risk-based business decision making. Ability to understand complex regulatory requirements and create effective compliance programs. Demonstrated ability to lead and execute over a range of business areas and functions with differing issues, interests and compliance risks. Demonstrated organization, communication and presentation skills.
