Profile

Assistant General Counsel Duties: Working to support central office and multiple operating divisions (Chapters). Provide guidance and assistance in the administration of the legal functions of the organization in a number of general areas including contract and lease review, corporate governance, by-laws, legislative issues and bill drafting, non-profit law research and application, and legal advice regarding operational and financial matters. A key member of the legal team supporting General Counsel. Will be providing advice to senior managers, Chapter leadership, and our board of directors on legal agreements, service delivery, organizational structure, constituent consultation, training, and support.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Newly Admitted to the New York State Bar – 1 year experience. Superior research, writing, and problem solving skills with strong academic background. Some knowledge of not-for-profit law and/or health law is ideal.
