Associate Corporate Counsel The candidate's tasks and responsibilities: Negotiate, draft and review contracts and other legal documents both in English and French. Coordinate legal tasks in relation with the French entity. Provide practical legal advice and service to the broader organization. Review and analyze the laws and regulations in France to support company's operations locally. Interpret these in light of guidance, decisions, law firm advice and industry practice, as applicable, to the specific structure, organization and operation of company’s business globally. Advise business on actions required to comply with legal and regulatory obligations and contributes to decisions made by the business on appropriate course of action to minimize risk from financial or reputational loss.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Law degree (in French law) – Bar is an important (but not disqualifying) factor. Should have 2 - 4 years of experience as a French lawyer in a professional, multilingual environment (experience in a law firm is an advantage). Knowledge of French (asset management/financial services) legal and regulatory environment is a must. Fluent in English and French (oral and writing). Ability to work within a team environment and good communication skills. Excellent organisational skills and ability to assist people located in other jurisdictions. Accountability, judgement and decision making.
