Profile

Associate Director of Business Development Duties: Develops and executes strategic revenue enhancement and client development plans for a series of designated practice groups. Works closely with practice group leaders, the Business Development team and account managers to drive bottom line growth through practice and firm-wide growth initiatives. Brings a level of leadership that will influence practice group leaders and the Business Development team, make an impact on the firm's culture and drive opportunities for collaboration amongst the Business Development and Marketing department and other departments within the firm. Will be focused on establishing department-wide best practices for generating new leads, capturing ROI and driving bottom line growth. Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives for the Business Development team and designated practice groups. Identify and analyze opportunities for new business, client growth and cross-selling. Supervise Business Development team's day-to-day pitch and proposal development and execution. Provide coaching to attorneys on business plans. Develop lead generation systems designed to manufacture daily new business opportunities. Work with Professional Development team to develop trainings and present to the attorneys on core business development topics. Manage the workflow and performance of the assigned Business Development teammates, including managing day-to-day projects, providing ongoing performance feedback and participating in the annual staff performance evaluation process. Oversee the request for proposal (RFP) management process for the designated practice areas, including developing strategic response plans and reviewing and approving written materials and presentations. Manage lateral partner integration programs, including creating business plans, tracking progress and preparing reports for practice group leaders. Analyze profitability of business development initiatives. Establish and implement Firm-wide standard operating procedures. Identify revenue growth opportunities relating to client and designated practice group events and develop/execute plan to capitalize on investments. Manage, review and track the business development budget for the designated practice group. Coach attorneys on individual business development goals and plans. Oversee collateral development with Business Development team for the designated practice group, including drafting and editing of targeted practice-wide collateral, presentations and communications. With the support of the Business Development team, monitor and report on client and industry trends.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. 9 years of related work background. Knowledge of Microsoft office (Microsoft excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Microsoft word). Knowledge of client relationship management (CRM) software. Excellent written and oral communication abilities. Strong management skills. Strong leadership skills and setting the tone and expectations of the team. Promote a collaborative environment through actions. Strong analytical abilities. Expertise to work under aggressive deadlines and prioritize responsibilities. Expertise to handle and maintain confidential info. Expertise to travel and work flexible and/or fluctuating work hours. Expertise to work unaided and under own direction and initiative.
