Profile

Director Legal Markets GTM Effectiveness The candidate will work with integrated marketing to drive go-to-market strategy and execution with the primary focus on driving revenue growth, customer success and competitive advantage. Work with leadership to develop and refine GTM plans for Legal Markets. Serve as a market expert by providing guidance to the management team and identifying growth and/or risk areas for the business. Communicate GTM plans as appropriate throughout Legal and Regulatory U.S. Align the development and execution of GTM strategy to portfolio development plans/ product roadmaps to achieve business goals of revenue growth, increased market penetration, and customer retention; assist in the development of marketing and sales strategies/plans to achieve these goals. Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for GTM activities; report on KPIs to the management team. Advise Product Managers and Portfolio Directors on developing their sales, marketing, and pre-sales capabilities in line with WK Legal Markets GTM strategy. Work with marketing and sales to establish budgets, messaging, appropriate marketing mix, and performance metrics/reporting as part of the overall GTM strategy for targeted products. Work with Sales and Sales Training to build and execute sales campaigns along with marketing, product and content teams. Define the strategic position of products, target customer profiles, and key messages and unique selling propositions; research customers, markets, and competition. Collaborate with multiple cross-functional stakeholders, including portfolio directors, product managers, sales leadership, account representatives, marketing, content acquisition managers and editors on creating and executing strategic and timely product launches. Participate in L&R divisional initiatives related to Go-to-Market strategy; within those initiatives act as an advocate for LRUS to ensure that LRUS business interests are appropriately represented. Interact with target markets on an ongoing basis through customer visits/calls, participation in select sales opportunities, meetings with other industry stakeholders, and attendance at industry events. Engage with third party vendors on projects (surveys, events) that will strengthen GTM strategy. Resolve routine operating problems as they arise; prioritize, organize, distribute, and coordinate the flow of work; train, guide, and advise staff; ensure that prescribed policies, procedures, and schedules are followed. Manage time and company resources appropriately. Proactively pursue professional development activities. Participate in special projects; and perform other duties as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must have Bachelor’s Degree with coursework in business or marketing. Should preferably have Master’s Degree in business administration or JD Degree. Must have 15+ years’ experience in the sales/ marketing of software or content products; previous product management experience. Should have experience managing a $20M+ P&L. Must have experience managing other product management/marketing professionals. Should preferably have 10+ years of experience in the legal market, including: Working within a matrix multi-division organization with various sales channels. Product management in the legal, document management, business process outsourcing, or financial services industries. Web-based software product delivery.
