ProfileCorporate In-House Counsel The candidate will give accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics Collaborate with executives on efficient legal strategies. Will coordinate with outside counsel on litigation and other matters. Establish internal governance policies and monitor compliance. Research and evaluate risk factors regarding business decisions and operations. Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues. Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority etc.). Draft and review agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to protect the Company. Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders. Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization. Conduct work with integrity and responsibility. Keep current on legislative updates affecting the Company.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have 7-10 years’ experience as an in-house counsel. Proven experience as legal counsel in a business environment with exposure to a wide range of legal activities is essential. Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures is essential. Must have outstanding communication skills. Should have BS degree in Law. Should be licensed to practice law and in good standing in Tennessee.
