ProfileCorporate Counsel/ Strategic Relations Manager/Senior Corporate Counsel/ Senior Strategic Relations Manager The candidate will be reviewing, drafting, and negotiating sales, distribution, license, development, and services agreements. Will be responding to the needs of Sales, Finance, Tax, Marketing, Business Development, and other business clients. Advising salespeople, engineers, and senior management on commercial and licensing terms, intellectual property, company policies, and negotiation strategy. Advising senior management and other internal clients on corporate matters, recommending actions, and ensuring compliance with company policies and law. Improving standard form agreements and legal processes.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have 5-9 years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department, a stable work history, education from a good law school, and state bar membership. Substantive non-legal/business experience a plus. Experience in or desire to learn complex business, licensing, and technology transactions. Some experience with M&A would be helpful. Must have strong oral and written communication skills - an ability to explain complex issues and concepts in straightforward, everyday terms is key. Foreign language skills -in particular, German, Italian, Spanish, Mandarin or Brazilian Portuguese would be helpful.
