Chief Operating Officer The candidate will manage the planning and business functions as well as the overall operations of the Firm. Will share responsibility with the appropriate partners for strategic and tactical planning, practice management and business development.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: BA or BS degree. JD Degree, CPA or MBA a plus. 15+ years of progressive leadership and broad-based management. Direct supervisory experience of teams between 20-40 people. Strong team building skills. Proven leadership, organizational, problem solving, and communications skills, coupled with the ability to excel in a fluid and fast-moving environment. Experience managing daily operations and complex projects in a multi-city, multi-office law firm or other professional services firm required. A strong client service philosophy to provide information and support services in a client focused environment. Ability to establish priorities consistent with the firm’s expectations and to communicate goals and expectations to attorneys and staff. Must have knowledge of legal or other professional service organizations and have experience managing business operations. Must be able to identify and analyze complex issues and problems in management areas combined with recommendations and implementation procedures for solutions. Must have proven track record of managing economically and efficiently. Must be able to establish priorities and maintain good interpersonal relations and communications with lawyers and team of administrators. Proven consensus building, problem solving and planning skills required.
