Legal Counsel The candidate will support the Legal Manager in all legal and regulatory issues related to company businesses in Mexico, CARCA and Andean Region. Will work as part of a team with other Legal counsels in Mexico and be a part of the Latin America Legal Team, with a direct reporting line to the Senior Legal Manager Mexico. Assist in maintaining legal oversight for company legal entities serving as a gatekeeper to prevent against legal, regulatory and reputational harm. Provide legal advice; collaborate with the business to understand legal needs, requirements and issues; source legal services internally and externally; and provide legal support on special projects. Support legal manager operations in the region and ensure compliance with all local laws, regulations and internal requirements. Understand local and business unit operational structure and advice on legal risks; coordinate with internal stakeholders as appropriate (Regulatory, Marketing and Compliance) and ensure legal entities are compliant with applicable laws and regulations. Draft clear legal documents. Review promotional materials (registrations, authorizations, new products, etc.). Handle corporate matters (BoD, meeting minutes, notarized acts, etc.) of the different legal entities; as well as legal documents, such as complaints (i.e. Health and Consumer authorities). Assist in the management of litigation, monitor and coordinate network of outside counsels in Mexico. Ensure full collaboration with Compliance area to ensure all regulatory compliance reporting requirements are met (e.g. Data Protection, FCPA, etc.). Oversee the development of market conduct policies and procedures. Must have 2+ years of legal/law firm experience with focus on marketing and corporate, product labelling is a plus. Should be admitted to practice law in Mexico and/or other relevant jurisdiction in Latin America. Excellent communication skills, orally and in writing in both English and Spanish needed. Fluency in Spanish and English required. Knowledge on regulatory pharmaceutical/food industry a plus.
