ProfileCorporate Counsel - Procurement and Technology Duties: Will be a key member of a legal group that includes support for enterprise-wide vendor and sourcing matters, new product initiatives, and developing innovative customer solutions. Work will involve negotiating and documenting software acquisition and licensing agreements and commercial agreements from the company's procurement groups and business units, reviewing Equifax marketing materials across a variety of businesses, and assisting with product development, data use and support of business and department objectives.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Law degree from ABA accredited law school and membership in good standing of any state bar; State Bar of Georgia is preferred. 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably at a large law firm and/or corporate legal department. Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and software licenses, including vendor agreements, customer agreements and a general understanding of technology transactions. Experience handling complex software licensing transactions and complex services arrangements is required. Ability to see the big picture while executing on the appropriate details. Ability to translate business requirements into contractual language, assess legal risk and work with vendors to mediate significant issues. Must be able to work independently, exercise sound judgment and interface directly with upper-level management. Strong drafting, communication and collaboration skills.
