Director, Corporate Counsel The candidate will be responsible for all leased and owned facilities throughout the United States, and the Company’s centralized Facilities Group, responsible for all facilities goods and services agreements for the Company’s domestic owned and leased facilities. Will receive and handle requests from CRE clients to draft, negotiate and prepare execution copies of all commercial real estate documents, including new leases, subleases, lease amendments, lease terminations and license agreements. Receive, review and analyze commercial real estate documents produced by Landlords; after meeting with CRE client and Prudential’s national broker, draft and prepare redlined revised drafts of document for submission to Landlord. Receive requests from Facilities Group to review or draft non-technology facilities and goods and services agreements. Review tenant estoppel certificates and subordination, non-disturbance and attornment agreements; and assist the litigation group with respect to any real estate related litigation.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have JD Degree. Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree required. Should have 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate leasing, preferably in a transaction-based practice with a law firm or major corporation. Should have substantial commercial real estate lease knowledge and experience, including drafting, with commercial real estate leases, subleases, lease amendments, lease terminations and other commercial real estate documents. Experience with facilities and goods and services agreements needed. Should be skilled in commercial lease and sublease drafting and negotiations. Excellent technology skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Office 365 essential. Strong research skill, including LEXIS/NEXIS and Westlaw needed.
