ProfileGroup Counsel-Fire Protection & Security The candidate will act as a trusted legal advisor to the management and operations teams of the Fire Protection and Security domains. This position requires an experienced commercial attorney who can provide legal counsel and support in the areas of contracting, installation and services management, and compliance to the Fire Protection and Security businesses. Support complex transactions for the installation and service of fire alarm, fire sprinkler, fire suppression, integrated security, sound and healthcare communications systems with end user customers – both as a prime contractor and subcontractor. Prepare and negotiate customer sales and service contracts, software licensing agreements, sourcing agreements and other commercial transactions for business clients. Provide day-to-day support to major sales and service businesses on all legal matters related to general operations, customer relations, licensing and local government compliance issues. Manage and support legal dispute resolution and coordinating with internal specialist colleagues in support of litigation and compliance efforts. Support risk mitigation efforts in the business and working with corporate risk management professionals to respond to claims. Provide training and guiding clients in complex compliance issues typical for innovative, growth-oriented, multinational companies -- such as anti-bribery, international trade and competition laws. Juris Doctorate (or equivalent) degree and bar admission to, at least, one state and 4 - 6 years of relevant legal experience in a sophisticated commercial law practice within a law firm, in-house law department or agency environment required. Proficiency with technology and popular software applications used in legal environments required. Exceptional presentation, professionalism and advocacy skills, with the ability to promote and defend the interests of the business required. Experience counseling and negotiating in the construction industry preferred. Varied exposure to the usual areas encountered by a business, including commercial, litigation, labor and employment, intellectual property and mergers and acquisitions, etc required. Excellent analytical abilities and good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions required. Excellent communication skills with management at all levels and customer management skills required.
