Corporate Counsel The candidate will support the Senior Vice President and General Counsel in providing comprehensive legal counsel and legal risk analysis related to company’s operations. Duties: Advising management on various legal issues; Drafting, negotiating and reviewing contracts; Managing litigation and business disputes, including coordination with outside counsel; Providing legal support and advice regarding a breadth of general corporate, securities and regulatory matters; and other duties and projects assigned by Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Attention to detail and accuracy; excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously; and ability to think strategically, establish credibility, provide solutions and be decisive. Juris Doctorate from an accredited college or university and 5+ years of progressive legal experience with a well-regarded law firm and/or in-house at a public company required. Public company and securities experience and commercial contracts experience is preferred. Knowledge of racing and/or gaming industry preferred. Experience with employment law is a plus. Must be licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, eligible for reciprocity or otherwise eligible to obtain a limited certificate of admission to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky solely for the Company under Kentucky Supreme Court Rule 2.111.
