Corporate Counsel Duties: Will be involved with negotiating various types of commercial agreements, including both hardware sales and purchasing contracts and inbound and outbound licensing agreements. Will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating sales and purchasing contracts and inbound and outbound software licenses. Other duties will include supporting other departments as needed (real estate, environmental, finance, etc.) and assisting in integration of acquired companies.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Law degree from an accredited law school. 5+ years of experience, including at least 3 years of in-house commercial transactional experience, Comprehensive understanding of commercial contract law combined with practical strategies to handle difficult contract negotiations. Working knowledge of intellectual property and antitrust law. Experience in a multinational company with significant Asia operations is desirable. Ability to work in a cooperative, cross functional manner. Must have, or quickly develop, a deep understanding of the operational aspects of an OEM hardware manufacturer so that can lead a contract negotiation regardless whether the issues are legal or business-oriented. Strong interpersonal skills and creativity are a must. Some travel may be required.
