Corporate Counsel, Commercial The candidate role will report to Affirm’s Associate General Counsel and provide advice and support to its growing Legal team on a wide range of corporate and transactional matters. Work closely with the Sales, Merchant Success and Marketing teams to provide legal and strategic business advice in commercial negotiations with an eye to managing merchant and partner relationships. Draft and review commercial agreements and other contracts. Manage the non-disclosure agreement and third party vendor contract process. Oversee various corporate matters and documentation related to Affirm’s subsidiaries. Provide assistance as needed with respect to incentive compensation plans, employment and HR matters, and other special projects as needed. Should have JD degree from a top law school and current member in good standing with the California Bar. Must have 3 years of relevant experience at an established law firm; additional in-house experience, particularly at a high-growth start-up, is preferred. Should have strong knowledge of commercial contracts and the ability to identify and solve for potential legal and business issues present therein.
