Regulatory Affairs Counsel Candidate will be responsible for overseeing and executing statute research, the application and licensing processes and maintaining compliance with all local, State, and Federal laws governing secondhand dealer licenses, business licenses, use permits, and compliance reporting. Determining whether the company can conduct business within the local and state ordinances. Outreach to city government, police, and others prior to entering new markets. Execution of licenses, permits, and any other regulations prior to commencing business in new markets. Handling subpoenas, warrants, and requests from law enforcement or city / state attorneys. Managing ongoing relationship and reporting required for each location. Travel to meet with city / police officials. Travel to Testify or meet with local city officials or police on behalf of the company.
Qualification and Experience
Candidate should have J.D degree or 3–5 years of paralegal experience doing statutory research and assessment of applicable laws. License to Practice Law (Bar Certified) is essential. Should be proficient in using spreadsheets (MS Excel, Access, CRM), and proficiency with data analysis. Excellent computer application skills are needed.
