Negotiation Specialist Duties: Negotiate with clients of the newly acquired Indices business. Part of a cross functional team within Legal that will be focused on this new business area, collaborating with the colleagues across the enterprise including Sales, Product Development, Compliance, Contracts, and Accounting as strategy to provide a positive experience to clients, drafting new contract templates, and negotiating the legal terms and conditions, especially licenses of data and information. Balance the needs of the internal and external client in a time-sensitive environment that is becoming increasingly more regulated, while protecting from undue legal risk.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (Law degree not required). 5 years' experience negotiating / drafting legal terms and conditions, preferably licenses of data and information. Substantial experience in a client or supplier facing role with a strong negotiation background. An ability to multitask while negotiating multiple contracts and navigating a number of systems that are an integral part of the contract process workflow. Experience working in the financial sector, preferably in support of an index business or other regulated financial products/services. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills to build a solution-based approach. An independent thinker with a positive can-do attitude.
