Counsel, Global Corporate Payments Candidate will serve as counsel to the US Global Corporate Payments (GCP) for the Americas region and will partner closely with colleagues in Latin America and Canada. Will be responsible for US GCP sales and account development opportunities, including multinational accounts. Will work closely with the GCP Americas Leadership Team to develop and refine strategic plans, participate in Leadership Team meetings, update the Leadership Team on legal developments, and structure and negotiate key client agreements. Will play a critical role supporting the GCP team on contract negotiations and escalations, working with the GCP Contracts and Proposal Strategy Team and updating relevant forms. Will also lead the Government Center of Excellence responsible for addressing issues related to doing business in the public sector. Will be the lead lawyer for all B2B client engagements with responsibility for B2B client engagements arising out of both GCP Americas and the Global Client Group. This will involve partnering with colleagues who support the B2B Payment Solutions group and colleagues responsible for B2B client relationships in the international markets. Will also be lead lawyer for the Field Enablement team and will provide support on important training initaitives for GCP Americas. Member of a team of seasoned attorneys and legal managers, offering strategic guidancefor a broader set of issues impacting U.S. commercial products and services. Candidate should have J.D. degree and membership of the New York Bar in good standing. 8+ years of experience in general commercial practice, including complex contracts, transactions and alliances is essential. Experience advising on complex transactions and helping to structure innovative business initiatives is required. Deadline: July 24, 2014.
