International Equity Due Diligence Analyst Duties: Assessing investment/fund manager skill through qualitative and quantitative analysis combined with in-person interviews. Analyzing investment/fund performance to determine how portfolio returns align with various market environments. Also, predicting drivers of outperformance. Drafting comprehensive evaluations of investment products/funds and presenting recommendations to investment committee. Implementing decisions by guiding manager/fund inclusion in model portfolios. Similar to fund-of-funds structure. Preparing both written and verbal communications providing advice and guidance related to the investment strategies and market activity for Advisor/Clients. Conducting macro-level market research to develop outlook and participate in broad team macro-level discussions. Formulating tactical asset allocation advice and investment manager recommendations based on market view. Presentation of findings including participation in conference calls, client meetings, etc. Contribute to ad-hoc team-based initiatives. Responsible for asset class team management. Provides in-depth knowledge of each asset class and portfolio construction. Is focused on communications with Business Partners in relation to the investment manager universe.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Advanced degree preferred (MBA, MS, JD Degree, other) or relevant professional experience. CFA Charterholders or candidates preferred, or willingness to work toward CFA. Series 7 & 66 (or 63 and 65) licensed is viewed as a positive. 7+ Years of experience in financial services (such as asset management, investment bank, endowment/pension fund, rating agencies, manager due diligence, etc). A background in/knowledge of equity securities or investment strategy, particularly with a non-US/global focus. Significant exposure to equity markets (through varying roles, Strategy, Research, Trading, Banking, Sales), particularly with focus on global and international strategies. Strong knowledge base and understanding of the equity market and its components. This includes fundamental analysis, financial modeling, asset allocation, market research, etc. Experience with global multi-asset strategies, a plus. Analytical thinker who can build an investment opinion based on facts and subsequently defend that position. Strong organization and time management skills. Strong verbal and writing skills. Strong quantitative skills and knowledge of investment-related statistics. Excel, Word, Power Point.
