Associate Counsel Duties: Providing legal advice to Financial Lines executives and underwriters with respect to transactional, regulatory, legal and compliance matters. Negotiating, drafting and/or reviewing insurance policies, endorsements, applications, warranties, policyholder notices, ancillary agreements and advertising and marketing materials in connection with the following product lines: directors & officers (D&O) liability, professional liability, cyber liability, employment practices liability, fiduciary liability, crime/fidelity and kidnap & ransom insurance. Will be expected to work with regulatory personnel to coordinate countrywide filing of forms and rates, respond to inquiries on insurance regulatory issues and respond to regulatory and consumer complaints.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have experience in either a law firm or in-house legal department. Familiarity with the business of insurance and insurance regulation is preferred, and the candidate should demonstrate strong negotiating and communication skills.
