Associate General Counsel Duties: Work with General Counsel in corporate matters , and will be expected to rapidly assume ownership of projects with accountability to the C-Suite, Finance, and Client teams. General corporate matters (governance, investor and shareholder issues, corporate structure). Drafting and negotiating contracts (NDAs, partnership agreements, licensing agreements, etc.). Involvement with employment matters. Involvement with intellectual property rights and concerns, including patents, trademarks, and acquisition of URLs. Communicating with internet or technology companies. Managing outside counsel with a view to minimizing cost without sacrificing results.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: J.D. degree from an accredited, recognizable law school. Admitted and in good standing with a state Bar. 4 - 8 years of experience at a credible law firm or equivalent in-house experience (both a plus). Knowledge of email marketing and FTC matters. Experience with internet or technology companies. Exposure to finance and (GAAP) accounting matters a plus, including undergoing annual audits. Experience with UK and other jurisdictions a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
