Director of Policy & Business Development, Northeast Duties: Represent in the various coalitions of stakeholders that support solar in the northeast, and, both through those coalitions and independently, to engage in lawmaking and rulemaking when it matters for commercial solar broadly. Will work to shape statutory and regulatory outcomes in the region in pursuit of mission, which is to accelerate the adoption of renewable energy. Embed policy work within the sales and project development process, out of a belief that that integration informs and equips the policy work, and also provides for seamless feedback about opportunities and risks to the developers on the front lines. Represent Borrego Solar in trade associations and other coalitions of solar stakeholders. Monitor regional solar policy, and communicate internally to keep Borrego Solar personnel updated on what they need to know. Work externally to shape and impact key regulatory issues, principally at the state regulatory commissions, that represent risks and opportunities for Borrego Solar. Leverage Borrego Solar’s internal resources and expertise in solar design and construction to inform policy-making. Pursue legislative objectives when achieving them is realistic. Work closely with Borrego Solar’s sales and project development team to help drive business development strategy and execution.
