Director, Business Development Candidate will prospect to find new acquisition opportunities, research industries and specific acquisition opportunities, compile and assess operating and financial data and income statements, and advise ownership of overall business development projects and strategies. Identify and propose potential business acquisitions by proactively contacting business brokers, investment banks, intermediaries, business owners, and other professionals. Aggressively network with deal professionals via phone, email, and in-person meetings. Attend trade shows and industry events to meet business owners and identify acquisition targets early in the decision making process. Screen potential acquisitions by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials. Aggregate and present deal candidates to ownership and management on a regular basis. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Qualification and Experience
Candidate with Graduate business degree (MBA, JD) is preferred. 3 years' prior business development and/or sales experience is required. Working knowledge of financial statements, Salesforce.com, and general technology is required. Closing, Prospecting, and Presentation skills are needed.
