Associate General Counsel Candidate will be responsible for providing various legal services. Drafting and negotiating contracts with clients, vendors, and strategic partners. Resolving legal issues and conducting legal research. Evaluating and mitigating legal risks. Participating in projects and process improvements. Providing legal counsel to company staff on various matters, including public records laws. Managing multiple assignments simultaneously in a demanding, fast- paced environment. Provide quality and timely legal advice and service on a wide variety of legal matters. Attend and actively participate in meetings and assigned company committees. Provide consistent, reliable and timely legal assistance and support to the General Counsel. Drive execution (effectively manages time and priorities; holds productive meetings). Make suggestions and offer ideas for improving the company’s legal process and procedures. Provide a weekly status update to the General Counsel on all outstanding assignments and projects. Will be responsible for legislative affairs for the company in the State of Indiana. Provide regular management training and other support for the company’s new “Preventive Law Programâ€. Responsible for the company’s legal efforts as to bankruptcy, collection matters and public records requests. Will report directly to the company’s General Counsel.
Qualification and Experience
Candidate should have graduated from an accredited law school with a J.D. Degree and admission in good standing to the practice of law in Indiana. 5-8 years of experience is required. Knowledge of federal, state and local statutes, ordinances and regulations, including governing the administration of airports is needed.
