Sales Consulting Leader The candidate will build-out and expand the company’s Consulting service line in the Litigation Services group under company’s Professional Services organization. The VP will leverage deep consulting, business and technology acumen to establish new client relationships and build on existing client partnerships across corporate legal departments and law firms. The Consultant will work with clients to identify their pain points, develop and deliver sustainable and transformational solutions in order to enhance their legal operations, gain optimal business performance while aligning with their strategic objectives. Demonstrate industry and practice expertise and consulting capabilities to create solutions for the company’s clients. Exhibit an understanding and/or be knowledgeable on a number of the subject matter areas, as well as, be able to speak effectively on the information governance, e-discovery and the capabilities of several leading legal technology systems, tools and practices used by corporate legal departments and law firms. Some of the key focus areas to assist our legal department and law firm clients include: Information Governance, Big Data and Records Management, Litigation Readiness, Discovery Best Practices, Strategy and Operations Management, Matter Management, e-Billing, Legal Spend Management, Outside Counsel and Supplier Management, Performance Management, IP/Contract Management, and/or Legal Technology Implementation. This includes providing expertise on transformation, acquisition, integration, change management, benchmarking, resource optimization, executive coaching and leadership development. Candidate reports to the Executive Director, Litigation Services. Will work collaboratively with their team and client personnel to review and deliver solutions for target areas. Will also carry accountability for building and developing their team through playing a hands-on role in coaching and mentoring talent to achieve consistently increasing levels of team and service line performance. Will also build a service line that will work in alignment with the other service offerings under the Litigation Services practice (e.g., Client Services, Data Management, Managed Review, Managed Services, E-discovery Software), as well as, contribute to internal XLS practice development and initiatives. Will work with the Executive Director and Business Development team to identify and develop new revenue channels, as well as, with the Major Global Accounts Groups in our $23B organization to leverage existing client relationships and generate new opportunities. Create growth in the Fortune 500 and AmLaw 250 market place by developing new client relationships and driving revenue with new and ongoing clients. Meet or exceed quarterly and yearly revenue projections. Educate and market to clients regarding the company's products and services through verbal, text or electronic communications. Generate new business opportunities and develop relationships with potential clients and strengthen relationships with existing clients. Develop proposals and Requests for Proposals. Provide proposals, negotiate prices, prepare contracts and track engagements. Continual follow up with existing customers to building on those relationships and meet new customer contacts within the organizations. Continually monitor and understand competitors' products and services. Work closely with operations group and consulting team staff to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery of services.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university. Advanced degrees, such as JD or MBA, are a plus. 10-12 years of professional consulting experience related to legal department or law firm strategy management and operations, legal services consulting and/or business development is required. Should have 5+ years' experience staffing and legal services management experience including 3-5 years of senior level responsibility. Experience working in either law firms, consulting firms or corporate legal departments, desired. Prior experience assessing/building/creating a top performing operational team and instilling a culture of accountability, results and flexibility in order to meet/exceed customer fulfillment and cost expectations is required. Should have strong background communicating with cross functional groups, operating groups and developing performance management methods and tools. Should have excellent communication and writing skills. The ideal candidate is a management consulting expert with experience working at traditional management consulting firms or Big 4 consulting practices, and holds a revenue generating position in a consultancy as a Managing Partner, Partner, Principal or Senior Director. Prior experience in leading and managing small to large teams in the area of legal business and management consulting and managing complex, long-term projects with corporate, law firms and/or government clients is desired.
