Senior Legal Counsel / Strategic Alliance Platforms and Strategic Ventures Duties: Will be a member of the Strategic Alliances and Relationships team within the Technology Ecosystems and Platforms Legal team (“TE&P Team”). Leads, supervises and develops other lawyers in the TE&P Team (as well as other supporting Legal personnel resources) as required in the performance of the role and the handling of the Alliance Counsel’s assignment, directly negotiates complex Alliances and related agreements, ensures that the regulatory aspects of company's complex Alliances and Resale services are identified, properly understood and managed, works with the global legal compliance group, makes sure that alliances, resale and service delivery conditions are compliant with company's policies and, has responsibility for the legal-related work and support for company's key vendor/platform/teaming relationships. Also assists other Legal and business teams understand the compliance and policy aspects of company's Alliances, Resale and Growth Platform delivery services.

Qualification and Experience

Basic Qualification Requirements: A J.D. or equivalent law degree (based on geography). Must have 9+ years of experience as an attorney. Good business acumen, knowledge of company's business strategy (or similar business strategy at another company if experienced hire). Good judgment, an ability to prioritize and make decisions, and spot risks before they materialize; ability to work with and manage resources remotely. Strong writing and negotiation skills. Firm grasp of company's culture and risk tolerance; a strong history of successful relationships with key company's executives (or similar executives at another company if experienced hire). Strong time management, prioritization and organizational skills. Good executive presence and the ability to work effectively with the senior business leaders at company, partners from law firms. Strong leadership and management skills. Strong communication skills. Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian. Fluency in English. Some travel may be required.

Preferred Qualification: General experience in managing and supervising attorneys. Experience with Alliances and strategic arrangements. Experience with Global Contracting arrangements. Experience contracting with 3rd party vendors for the purpose of licensing and reselling hardware, software products and services. Transactional experience. Must have solid experience in complex transactions such as alliances, joint ventures, acquisitions. Deep expertise in basic contracting issues required and knowledge of intellectual property very helpful.
