Associate General Counsel - Commercial The candidate will be responsible with other Associate General Counsels, Commercial Counsels and Paralegals to provide comprehensive legal support to company’s Therapeutic Areas. Will be a member of the applicable Therapeutic Area Management Team. Comprehensive legal support of a key Therapeutic Area, including review of marketing materials and advice regarding marketing and sales operations. Legal support of other Therapeutic Areas as needed. Responsible for all commercial contracting in support of Therapeutic Area, including advertising, consulting, call center and Therapeutic Area-specific distribution agreements. Manage risks through counseling, training and practical application of company’s policies and procedures to Therapeutic Area operations. Responsible for all healthcare professional contracting in support of Therapeutic Area, including advisory boards and speaker programs. Provide advice regarding interactions with patients, including privacy issues related to Therapeutic Area call center operations. Manage outside counsel as specialized advice is required for Therapeutic Area projects. Manage Commercial Counsels and Paralegals. Represent company on legal committees of one or more industry associations, including PhRMA and BIO. Active participation on Legal Department projects. Assist General Counsel on both U.S. and non-U.S. legal matters. Other related duties as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have JD degree and Bar admission. Must have 8-12 years of experience in a firm or in-house. Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred. Excellent organizational and communication skills required. Strong project management skills.
