Segment Manager Duties: Support the Senior Director of Segment Management in identifying, developing, and executing on key strategic product and program opportunities that will drive preference within the Law School market and revenue within the Large Law market. This role will have product management responsibilities within the law school market and go to market responsibilities across Law Schools and Large Law. Manage the Law School home page development and maintenance including liasing as applicable with 3rd party integrators . Manage the Law School course management product migration (from Blackboard to Canvas) include ensuring the product is ready to launch, managing a pilot and associated enhancement needs based on outcome, and full go to market for wide commercial availability. Highly collaborate with the Advance and Digital Service product teams, including Product Development, Business Systems, Fulfillment, and Customer Support, to ensure the segment's requirements are surfaced and incorporated in the product roadmap, and that the systems and support mechanisms developed are consistent with the segment's adoption needs. Gain competitive insights, with data collection from the sales team and review of competitor's products to inform product and go-to-market strategy. Maintain deep product knowledge as products expand over time and keep current on technology developments that may have implications in the market 6. Collaborate with marketing and sales, sales operations, to ensure product information, timelines, key launch information is communicated for effective sales training, product positioning, and customer promotion.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: JD Degree /MBA preferred, with 5+ years of related technical and professional experience. Demonstrated strong project management experience. Product Management experience a strong plus. Course Management (especially Canvas) experience a strong plus. Technical and professional knowledge of LexisNexis products and services and the systems that support them, as well as an in-depth understanding of the information industry.
