Senior Counsel Regulatory Services Candidate will be responsible for representing operating companies in administrative and appellate litigation, including regulatory proceedings before various state commissions that have jurisdiction over the companies' electric utility rates. Representation includes legal research, motion practice, discovery, commenting on proposed rules, drafting legislation, reviewing testimony, presenting company witnesses and cross-examining opposing witnesses in hearing, writing briefs and appellate practice; providing legal advice to management and other company personnel regarding all aspects of public utility regulation; exercising independent legal judgment; and working with outside legal counsel.
Qualification and Experience
Candidate should have a J.D. degree or LLB degree. Should be admitted to/eligible for admission to practice in Texas. 3+ years of experience with a law firm, corporate legal department or state regulatory commission is required. Litigation experience, preferably regulatory litigation experience, is required.
