Corporate Tax Attorney The candidate is responsible for researching, monitoring, advising, and documenting tax legal matters in a variety of areas of U.S.tax law, including income, international, executive compensation, employee benefits, and non-profit taxes. Also responsible for advising on certain international tax matters and assisting in the tax aspects of negotiations and legal agreements with third parties on business development transactions. Provide tax legal advice and support to department personnel on compliance and research projects, including tax audits; Monitor tax legislation and provide tax legal advice and support to Human Resources, Executive Compensation, Payroll and Employee Benefits on certain tax compliance and research projects; Provide tax legal advice and support to the company’s Foundation, the company’s Foundation, and the company with respect to its charitable and philanthropic activities; Provide tax advice and support on certain international tax projects and business development transactions with third parties; Lead efforts on improving tax processes and tax education; Serve as a knowledge source for certain global tax policies and practices; Prepare (from time to time) financial and tax spreadsheet analysis associated with the above tax areas; Possess ability to work well under stressful conditions in conjunction with negotiation of tax audit issues and third party transactions.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Juris Doctor degree with 3 - 10 years of legal tax experience. Must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Excellent time management, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to business partner with company legal and finance personnel, as well as external tax and legal counsel. Knowledge of U.S. Federal, International, Executive Compensation, Employee Benefits, and Non-profit tax laws. SAP experience. CPA, MST or LLM Degree or equivalent experience.
