Corporate Counsel, Marketing The candidate will work on the most exciting legal issues as disruptive technological innovations require creative and proactive legal guidance. Review, draft and manage licenses and intellectual property agreements, advertising services agreements and contracts on a daily basis. Manage agreements that comply with company policies and risk tolerance. Provide legal advice to Marketing teams from the initial stages of product/project development through launch. Respond promptly to legal requests from Marketing, Business Development, and other clients, summarizing and communicating legal concepts that business people can use. Advise business clients, as well as HR, Finance and other company colleagues, on legal issues and risks, complex agreement structures, approval processes, company policies and procedures, IP and business strategy. Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have J.D. degree. Should have 3 years of broad-based litigation experience, including intellectual property and technology matters. Must preferable have 5 years of relevant work experience. Demonstrated experience advising clients in structuring complex commercial transactions, including new media content and advertising agreements are preferred. Should have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several simultaneous projects under deadline pressure. Must have extensive background in drafting licenses and intellectual property agreements, advertising services agreements and sales contracts.
