Legal Counsel The candidate will assist the company’s Associate General Counsel–Litigation in the day-to-day management of the Company's litigation matters in North America. Day-to-day management of cases, including assisting with selecting and supervising outside counsel, attending depositions and hearings as appropriate, attending mediations, attending trials, and keeping management generally informed about the status of each case. Review and approve pleadings, briefs and other court filings. Manage legal hold distribution and compliance, responding to discovery requests, overseeing the collection and production of documents and electronic records, identifying employees with knowledge of relevant facts; and responding to third-party subpoenas. Interview witnesses and prepare witnesses for depositions. Manage and coordinate responses to indemnity demands. A J.D. and/or LLM degree and strong academic achievement required. 2+ years of hands-on experience working on patent litigation matters required. An engineering degree, particularly in electrical engineering, computer science, or similar discipline required. Prior experience in or familiarity with the telecommunications industry is preferred. Clerkship experience with a federal district court or the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals preferred. Proven track record in effectively building relationships and engaging at all levels and strong written and oral communication skills required.
