Compliance Manager The candidate will be responsible for assisting the SVP- Chief Compliance Officer in developing, implementing, updating, and tracking the Company’s compliance policies, procedures and forms. Will also assist in developing and implementing compliance training, monitoring and auditing programs. In addition, will be responsible for assisting the Chief Compliance Officer and/or the Legal Department in conducting investigations into alleged or potential policy violations. An essential function of this position is to help ensure that the Company meets its legal, regulatory and compliance obligations, complies with its own policies and procedures, and abides by its high ethical standards. Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): Policy and Training Responsibilities: Shall assist SVP- Chief Compliance Officer with all compliance policies, including the drafting of new policies and annual updates for existing policies. Assists in managing the company Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy. Responsible for all annual and specialized compliance training through on-line education modules, webinars and live learning. Develops and delivers compliance training programs, monitors their completion, and follows through on learning effectiveness. Participates in new hire orientation and specialized training, such as sales and marketing staff training. As needed, provides training to the Board of Directors and company management team. Participates in department staff and national sales meetings. Assists in the managing communications to employees about compliance matters. Maintains internal compliance websites. Monitors legal and regulatory developments for application to the company and adjusts policies and training programs accordingly. Applies lessons learned through the Compliance Department’s auditing and monitoring programs, and investigations, in policy updates and revisions and modifications of training programs. Manages the ethics and compliance hotline to ensure that reports to the hotline are appropriately triaged for investigation, resolution and “lessons learned.” Auditing and Monitoring Responsibilities: Assists in the development and implementation of a compliance risk assessment process and program, and in conducting annual and periodic compliance risk assessments. Assists in the implementation of agreed corrective actions following the risk assessments. Assists in the development and implementation of a compliance auditing program and procedures and conducts such audits as are necessary to ensure compliance with external regulations and related internal controls. Recommends internal control structure and process changes to avoid reoccurrence. Remains aware of changes in legal environment to help ensure timely internal adoption. Assists in the development implement and management of a field sales force compliance monitoring program and procedures to help ensure that remote employees conduct their business in compliance. In doing so, conducts or manages regular monitoring visits with field personnel and locations. Responsible for developing and driving compliance data metrics and identifying outlier activity. Maintains appropriate logs and reports. Communicates findings to company management. Assists in the development and implementation of compliance disciplinary processes and standards. Conducts, or assists in the conduct of, compliance investigations and manages, or helps to manage, the delivery of disciplinary responses to compliance violations. Project Management responsibilities: Supports all members of the Compliance Department in the management and completion of their respective projects; Collaborates with the Company to implement and satisfy mandated documentation and reporting procedures. Manages project schedules and budgets, and ensures project progress from conception to completion, including change management. Ensures all project objectives, requirements and deliverables are managed and documented. Communicates and reports project milestones and progress to various groups, including the Board of Directors and company management. Additional duties may be assigned, including supporting the Chief Compliance Officer in day-to-day activities; Other Responsibilities: Adhere to and uphold all applicable federal and state compliance regulations as well as company's Code of Conduct and Ethical Responsibility, compliance policies and procedures, and applicable healthcare fraud, waste and abuse laws. Ensure adherence to these compliance standards among all company's colleagues for whom I am responsible to manage and oversee.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have BS or BA degree, JD degree or other advanced degree is preferred. Should have 5 - 8 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Audit experience within the healthcare industry a must. Knowledge of healthcare compliance laws, rules and regulations. Knowledge of federal and state healthcare compliance-related laws, rules and regulations, specifically the Stark Law and the Anti-Kickback Statute. Experience with conducting and documenting investigations. High degree of comfort with, and sensitivity in, managing corrective action of any identified issues. Specific understanding of billing and operations functions within a healthcare organization. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including precise documentation skills. Experience in communicating with executive audiences. Strong command of Microsoft Office products and project management software.
