Associate Director, Business and Legal Affairs The candidate will draft, review and negotiate a variety of agreements related to the development and production of programming for the firm Networks suite. Negotiate and draft a variety of scripted television production and development agreements in support of programming. Analyze contracts in response to business questions, as well as to provide contractual and research information to more senior attorneys to assist in business development, litigation risk assessment, etc. Maintain precedent database. Keep large cache of legal forms up to date regarding changes related to network/studio policy. Interact with firm executives from creative, production and finance departments. Must have Law degree (JD) and active member of California Bar. Should have 1-2 years of prior transactional legal experience, preferably in development or production of scripted television at a studio, production company or entertainment law firm. Familiarity with Word and Excel is needed..
