General Counsel The candidate will draft, negotiate, prepare and review lease agreements for multi-state commercial real estate. Will draft lease abstracts and manages lease portfolio responding timely to lease terms. Resolve tenant issues relating to lease agreements. Work closely with leasing management and property’s legal counsel, and promotes expeditious resolution of issues that arise. Prepare legal analysis of requests relating to terminations, renewals and assignments of lease agreements. Work with internal teams and external customers to identify lease related issues that may delay projects. Establish various business entities in various states, to include LLC’s, Joint Ventures, etc. Work with vendors and prospective business partners to resolve contractual issues. Interact directly with Board of Directors to keep them apprised of significant matters and developments. Oversee the creation and maintenance of subsidiaries and professional corporations in accordance with company policy and affiliated applicable law. JD degree from an accredited law school and bar accredited in at least one state, preferably in Colorado or Florida. Should have 7+ years of contracts experience (Contracts Attorney). Previous intellectual property law experience is a plus. Strong written and oral communication skills are needed. Knowledge of Canadian contract law is a plus.
