ProfileLegal Research (Contract) Responsibilities : The candidate will be expected to produce weekly research reports for prioritized jurisdictions and ongoing long-term research into areas that can include decriminalization, survivor empowerment, targeting electronic media that supports organized criminal networks and/or trafficking. Encouraged to propose potential long-term research projects that would benefit the program.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements : The candidate should be currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, an accredited law school; Must demonstrate initiative, strong research and writing skills, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to work on multiple tasks, often on a time-sensitive basis; Comfortable identifying and prioritizing policies, laws, and practices for real world applications; Ability to apply strategic decision making to analysis and communication. Experience or familiarity with LexisLibrary, LexLaw, WestLaw or other legal databases; Knowledge, exposure, and comfort working on issues related to human trafficking, gender rights, and/or survivor rights. Survivors of human trafficking encouraged to apply; Subject to a criminal background check.
