ProfileContract Negotiator The candidate will prepare proposals, negotiate and provide necessary liaison between the company and its customers to assure an acceptable level of customer service and maximize the contribution to the company. Negotiate and draft contracts between the company and its customers or sister divisions to appropriately limit company’s contractual liabilities. Exercise good business judgment and discretion when committing company contracts. Seek input from other internal groups as necessary. Provide supervision and guidance to other administrative levels in establishing contractual relationships for the company. Advise company’s management on liability issues. Resolve conflicts regarding terms and conditions, regulations, material specifications, etc., prior to order acceptance. Provide leadership to other groups and individuals as necessary to resolve conflicts. Assure contractual scope of work is maintained and maximized between the company and its customers. Take initiative with customer and/or internally to assure scope of work does not change without adequate coordination and compensation. Provide timely and accurate contract administration and proposals. Approve all house orders and change orders in standard company format after reviewing and interpreting customer's order. Assure all orders are entered within time limits established by division management. Assure effective coordination between the company and its customers to achieve acceptable service levels. Assure company contractual obligations are performed in professional and businesslike manner. Provide leadership to all interfacing groups to represent the company. Ensure documentation meets customer requirements while mitigating risk. Function as primary contact point for legal issues. Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field / Law degree required. 4+ years of related experience required.
