Associate Corporate Attorney The candidate will be responsible for supporting the Executive Director, Corporate Legal and other members of the Corporate Legal team with a variety of legal work, including commercial contracts, corporate compliance, litigation, and transactions. Prepare responses to litigation requests using legal software, and drafts, negotiates, and reviews various contracts. Review, draft, and negotiate a broad range of legal work, including commercial contracts, corporate compliance, litigation, and transactions, for review by a more senior attorney. Prepare responses to litigation requests using legal software. Provides broad support to all litigation (discovery, legal research, etc.). Manage and work on litigation support efforts related to discovery, document review, production requests, and case management. Review, negotiate and prepare contracts (commercial, supply, non-disclosure, etc.) for review by more senior attorney. Monitor the contract process to ensure contracts are in compliance with legal, regulatory, and organization policy and assesses their commercial risk. Assist in corporate transactions, such as international franchise arrangements and joint ventures. Draft and coordinate policy and procedure review and compliance projects. Support other departments on legal issues. Educate associates about emerging and developing areas of the law and legislation affecting the restaurant industry. Research and advise on potential legal challenges and solutions involving business strategies. Serve as liaison between the organization and customers/vendors, including outside counsel. JD degree and licensed to practice law and 0- 3 years of relevant experience required. Successful completion of annual store training required.
