Contract Analyst-Research Responsibilities: Review, revise, process and negotiate all manner of Research Agreements as delegated and instructed by the Manager of Research Administration Contracts. Act as a liaison between the hospital and the funding entity. Perform initial, detailed analysis and editing, as appropriate, of all assigned agreements for the submission to internal legal review process. Coordinate the review of contracts by other required reviewers. Compile all internally requested revisions and remit to Sponsor for negotiation. coordinate the signature of contracts by institution officials. Assist Research Budget & Billing Analyst, Director of Professional Services, if applicable, and Study Team in drafting "Per Subject" budgets for Industry sponsored studies and negotiate any necessary revisions to Sponsor-proposed budgets.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: JD Degree. Bar admission in any jurisdiction or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment. 1-2 years' experience. in contract administration, preferably. Experience should be in a hospital or academic research institution. Preference to be given to candidates with contract management/negotiation experience and/or health law experience. Medical Terminology . Knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite and PDF files. Business/accounting skills, knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines governing funding mechanisms for federal, state, and local government and private foundations and other agencies.
