Corporate Counsel The candidate will work as part of a team of attorneys and contract professionals responsible for the drafting, negotiating, and processing of contracts for the company’s North American business units, particularly R&D. This position presents the opportunity for a successful candidate to receive specialized training and to develop skills that open possibilities for a long-term career path within the company. Draft, review and negotiate contracts, particularly those related to clinical research. Project management experience desired. Tracks and measures progress through collection of cycle time metrics and other quality key performance indicators (KPIs). Communicate metrics, KPIs, and other relevant project information to team. Propose solutions to issues that may arise during contract life cycle. J.D. from a well-respected academic institution and admission to a state bar is required. 5+ years of relevant experience in the biotech/pharmaceuticals industry and/or equivalent law firm experience required. While experience in the pharmaceutical industry will always be favorably considered, candidates need not have direct experience, but must present the skills and aptitude to undertake the preparation and negotiation of complex agreements.
