ProfileStaff Attorney RESPONSIBILITIES : The candidate will train with attorneys to learn the business and the company’s policies and procedures for the first month. Provide support to the General Counsel and other attorneys on various matters as needed. Become a point of contact for routine issues and projects. Review RFPs from prospective clients and provide legal analysis, risk assessment and disclosures. Draft and review a variety of contracts such as management agreements, consulting agreements, leases, concessions, joint venture agreements, vendor contracts, license agreements, service agreements, purchase orders, maintenance contracts, etc. Handle contract disputes and coordinate with outside counsel on litigation matters. Miscellaneous projects and matters.
Qualification and Experience
REQUIREMENTS : The candidate should have a Law degree and current license to practice law in the State of Illinois. 2-3 years of prior work experience in a corporate legal department or business/transactional practice group of a law firm. Experience with contracts, real estate, securities or e-commerce is preferred but not mandatory. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word. Prior experience with Google docs, Excel, PowerPoint and Salesforce is preferred but not mandatory. Hardworking, enthusiastic person who seeks to join a close-knit team of professionals. Self-motivated, trustworthy and eager to learn. Desire to take the initiative, volunteer for projects and earn the respect of peers. Ability to work under pressure and multi-task to meet deadlines.
