Legal Counsel EMEA The candidate will be working as part of a small front line team to support business growth in the dedicated region within EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) by providing proactive legal support to business teams. Will serve as key legal advisor for all Enterprise sales business partners across the defined EMEA sub-region, including advising business on legal and regulatory aspects of sales programs. Provide strategic advice on licensing and services matters and enabling the business in a legal solution-oriented manner in the structuring and negotiation of complex transactions. Act as senior leader in the review, drafting and negotiation of all types of contractual documents, including end user software license agreements, software support agreements, consulting agreements, responses to requests for proposals. Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers and build strong relationships. Provide training to internal clients on relevant legal issues / good contracting practice. Provide support and escalation to other team members on substantive legal issues. Supporting EMEA and Global Legal and Integrity organization on strategic projects, including providing leadership to define and execute projects. Support Regional Counsel EMEA. Co-ordinate with EMEA and Global Legal and Integrity colleagues on development and implementation of new contract templates and contract management systems; ensure regional variations and requirements addressed appropriately. Communicate and perform cross functionally by working closely with legal, sales, accounting, tax and other business functions.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a Law degree in one of the relevant countries of the region with 5+ years of international commercial contracts experience. Experience in supporting enterprise sales teams in defined region essential. Experience of working for US publicly-traded company; understanding of revenue recognition principles needed. Should be IT literate, with working knowledge of using Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Working language English and additional languages, especially Arabic, would be an advantage.
