Contracts Manager/Attorney Duties: be a Contracts Manager/Attorney within Strategic Sourcing. Responsible for negotiating and closing large volume of supplier contracts, identifying issues, documenting exposures and risks and solving other problems as they arise. Thoroughly understand customer requirements and ensure customer requirements are properly established in supplier agreements. Draft agreements and establish contract strategies. Work with various departments to identify and document/develop corporate standard contractual positions. Work closely with variety of corporate departments including legal, risk management and operations. Negotiate with suppliers and develop procurement contracts, with an emphasis on assigned category areas. Documentation, audit trails and some contract administration. Assess both financial risk/liability exposures and delivery issues. Function with a variety of agreements and manage a varied workload while closely paying attention to details. Use and modify standard templates as necessary in order to develop commercial agreements for variety of business areas for the purchase of goods and services. Understand customer needs and expectations.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Must be a licensed attorney. Experience with sourcing, consulting, supply chain a plus. Knowledge of and ability to negotiate intellectual property, indemnification, limitations of liability, insurance and other key contractual issues. Computer competency and the ability to work in various applications to update, maintain or extract contract data. Ability to draft and interpret contract language accurately.
