Contracts Analyst 3 Duties: Provides contract support to the purchasing department, representing the company to vendors and other outside parties as a contracts representative. Within delegated scope, holds the responsibility, authority and accountability to draft contracts, negotiate, and commit the company to the purchase, acquisition and support of products and services for use by the company. Coordinates and validates input from internal organizations to create appropriate contractual agreements while ensuring compliance with company policies, laws and regulations. Drafts and negotiates contracts and provides expertise and leadership within the corporation and with vendors and external organizations. Supports the purchasing department by drafting contracts, identifying and analyzing business risks associated with contractual commitments and coordinating with internal stakeholders as an active member of the negotiating team. Balances company interests with vendor needs using established precedence and policies. Requests, coordinates and validates input from internal organizations to formulate and draft contractual agreements. Within delegated scope, holds the responsibility, authority and accountability to commit the company. Represents the company and leads the negotiation for legal and business terms and conditions that support the purchasing department’s requirements for acquisition and support of products and services. Keeps internal leadership/partners informed on negotiation matters, issues, and risk assessment. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations. Amends, supplements and updates existing agreements as assigned. Ensures contract compliance with business commitments, company policies, laws and regulations.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3+ years' related experience in contract drafting and negotiation. Experience drafting and negotiating contracts. Effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills. Experience using diplomacy to negotiate and resolve conflicts, and to persuade others to embrace strategies proposed. Knowledge of contract law and legal issues. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Ability to work with others to create an effective team. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Windows, Lotus Notes, and database software.
