Contracts Manager Duties: Understand, articulate and summarize the business transaction. Draft contracts that capture all elements of the business transaction. Accurately and comprehensively identify contract risks. Negotiate with our customers in a friendly and cooperative manner. Document contract activity, including contract negotiation and modification. Carry out routine and job-specific reporting and administrative tasks as directed. Work effectively with other departments in the company to accomplish these tasks.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: 4-year business management or law-related degree from an accredited college or university with 1 - 2 years’ experience as a contracts administrator, contracts manager, or equivalent, or a J.D. Degree; command of the English language, including the ability to read, analyze, interpret and draft legal documents; working knowledge of commercial contract terms and concepts, including Uniform Commercial Code; effective oral and written communication skills; the ability to effectively present information to top management. Experience in the following areas is a plus: negotiating and administrating FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 15 contracts; implementing and managing ITAR compliance systems, processes and procedures; software and other intellectual property licensing; contracts administration or management in the aviation industry. Must be able to: think quickly and non-linearly; actively and attentively listen for extended periods of time; effectively manage time and prioritize and progress numerous diverse tasks; and use MS Word at an expert level, and use other MS Office products with at least basic competency.
