Senior Associate Contract Specialist, Contract/War Duties: Draft, review, negotiate, finalize and assist in achieving approval for all new contracts, subsequent contract amendments and other contractual documents as required. Manage existing contracts to ensure compliance to contract terms and to mitigate risk areas. Support the efforts of the commodity teams in establishing and securing contractual requirements and ensuring coordination of cross-functional review, input and approval. Proposal preparation. Ensure appropriate flow down of contract requirements and amendments. Monitor contract life to ensure coverage when appropriate. Assess business risks and propose plans to mitigate when appropriate. Contract file maintenance and close-outs. Comply with all company procedures and internal approvals and governance requirements and guidelines. Other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: BA/BS required (MA/MS and/or JD Degree preferred) in business, finance, law, or engineering concentration. 5+ years contracts or similar experience. Working knowledge of various contract types, and US Government export regulations is desired. Capable of evaluating business strategy alternatives, presenting to senior management, recommending viable options and strategies to business issues, and successful implementation. Excellent communications skills: writing, presenting, negotiating, listening. Works expeditiously under time constraints and in a fast-paced dynamic program environment. Results oriented; working collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing business environment. Candidate will support company ACE initiatives, including standard work and business financial goals. Business team participation is expected.
