Business Analyst 5-Ops The candidate will be part of a team which provides sales operations support to the Hospitality Global Business Unit. The team will be responsible for providing business practices and operational expertise for more dedicated, longer duration negotiations and issues. Examples include complex transactions, master agreement negotiations, compliance reviews and administration, contracting, and business practices challenges. Candidate will support these activities globally as needed and will impact business unit financial goals and direction. Will require interaction with senior level contacts both within Hospitality GBU, with customers and throughout the company (e.g., HQAPP, Legal, Contracts, Business Practices, Revenue Recognition, etc.). Although Specialized Business Practices and Deal Support are the primary job responsibilities, team member may also support M&A integration and field enablement efforts related to business practices, working with Contracts, Legal, etc. Candidate will work with senior management from GBUs on complex issues requiring resolution to ensure business units meet or exceeds goals. Candidate will guide and influence senior management decisions.

Qualification and Experience

A BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree is highly desirable in particular J.D. 10+ years of relevant work experience is required. Candidates with a background in SaaS, License, HW, Consulting, GBU products, company’s Business Practices, or company’s Contracts are especially desired. Should have a deep understanding of company’s business practices and business approval processes including global approval matrices (SW, HW, Cloud, Consulting), contractual language and business terms specific to the software and technology industry and be able to articulate, defend, and apply such knowledge to complex transactions, master negotiations, etc. A solid grasp of company’s revenue recognition policies is also very beneficial. Ability to interact and defend company’s position during complex negotiations with customer’s executives and outside counsel required. Ability to draft appropriate contract wording for consideration by the company. Should have experience in approvals and contract negotiations for various types of clients on complex negotiations, working successfully on cross-functional teams. Should have ease and comfort in interacting with and briefing executive and senior management on issues affecting relevant deals being considered by the relevant LOB. Should have knowledge of company’s sales operations and processes as they relate to approvals, customer negotiations, and contracting. Should have outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience working with legal documents and complex contractual language is required. Travel will be required.
