Advisory Commercial Contracts Director The candidate will be responsible for supporting the identification and mitigation of client engagement risks by advising business teams in the Firm's consulting services practice group with regard to sound contract provisions, standards and approaches in accordance with Firm policies, principles and standards.

Qualification and Experience

Undergraduate Degree - e.g., BA, BS; US law degree - i.e., JD or LLB; US bar admission required. 8+ years of experience is required. Demonstrates proven advanced knowledge of, and/or success in managerial roles involving, contract law, negotiations and drafting, especially as it relates to contract language that deviates from standard templates, in a consulting services environment, including the following areas of emphases: Serving as a primary point of contact for contract transactions and other deals, preparing exceptions and reviewing draft proposals, reviewing engagement letters and assisting with negotiation of terms related to the delivery of consulting services, review and negotiation of non-disclosure agreements, and other engagement related contract requests, and understanding and applying advanced knowledge of US commercial law and legal concepts, especially as it applies to a global professional services consulting partnership business structure. Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader supporting the identification and mitigation of client engagement risks within a global professional services consulting partnership, including the following areas: Identifying, mitigating and controlling client engagement risks; Providing engagement teams with advice to help ensure scope of services, assumptions and other contract provisions are in accordance with Firm policies, standards and principles and directing engagement teams to consult with others enabler teams as needed; Educating engagement teams on legal concepts and contracting terms to increase understanding and enhance contract negotiation skills across the practice; Directing efforts to develop and implement sound contracting standards using an action-oriented approach; Working with a high degree of independence and applying project management methodologies to drive compliance-related initiatives; Directing efforts to provide guidance to teams and/or projects on contractual matters and work to build consensus with multiple stakeholders; Driving initiatives and contributing to the development and integration of guidance and policy across multiple functions; Solving complex problems related to contract transactions using a creative and collaborative mindset; and, Managing, coaching, developing and leveraging a team.
