Profile

Assistant General Counsel The candidate will be responsible for the structuring, negotiating and closing of IT and commercial agreements and managing contracting processes for our corporate headquarters. Will work independently and collaboratively in a collegial team environment within a fast-paced legal department. Report to the General Counsel and interact with various departments including sales, IT and product management in the US and around the globe. Structure and negotiate domestic and international agreements, including a range of IT and commercial agreements, such as vendor contracts, SaaS, cloud services, software licensing, professional services, product development, confidentiality and content/data procurement. Summarize and communicate legal concepts for use by sales, product management and development and IT. Respond promptly to legal requests from sales, IT, product management and development. Advise senior management on recommended courses of action and legal risks. Lead daily in-house client interaction. Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal process. Manage or complete special project assignments. Balance legal and business considerations when completing tasks. Support and conduct enterprise-wide training.

Qualification and Experience

the candidate must have 5-7 years of experience at a top law firm with exceptional academic credentials. Experience of negotiating and drafting a range of IT and commercial agreements, such as vendor contracts, SaaS, cloud services, software licensing, professional services, product development and content/data and procurement agreements is needed. Experience in ecommerce matters is essential. Experience in IP matters whether licensing, trademarks, etc. is needed. Experience in employment law a plus. Experience dealing with clients and customers and positive customer-facing demeanor is essential. Experience working with global teams is needed. Superior English language writing and oral communication skills is essential
